Voltalia Indicators 350 MW Photo voltaic Energy Provide Contract with Renault Group to Help Its Power Transition

The contract covers a complete capability of 350 MW of solar energy provide, representing the manufacturing of roughly 500 gigawatt hours per yr. With a period of 15 years, that is an unprecedented dedication in France when it comes to energy.

Dedicated to the power transition for greater than 10 years, Renault Group has introduced its intention to speed up the decarbonisation of its crops in France. The settlement with Voltalia will allow Renault Group to cowl as much as 50% of the electrical energy consumption of the producer’s manufacturing actions in France in 2027, together with the electrical energy consumption of Cléon, in addition to all of the sustainable electrical energy wants of the ElectriCity hub, Europe’s largest and best electrical car manufacturing centre, whose ambition is to provide 500,000 automobiles per yr by 2025. Voltalia will set up 100 megawatts of photovoltaic panels at its websites in France beginning in 2025. The capability made obtainable to Renault by Voltalia will improve steadily over the next years, reaching a complete of 350 megawatts by 2027.
