France-headquartered renewables supplier Voltalia has signed a 350MW, 15-year solar energy buy settlement (PPA) with Renault Group.
The settlement will cowl as much as 50% of Renault’s manufacturing necessities in France in 2027, together with manufacturing on the firm’s ElectriCity hub.
Voltalia will initially set up 100MW of photo voltaic capability in 2025, scaling as much as the total capability of the settlement by 2027. The corporate stated that this represents the most important energy buy settlement ever signed in France, forecast to generate round 500GWh of energy yearly.
Renault has dedicated to web zero carbon emissions at its ElectriCity amenities in France by 2025, Europe by 2030 and globally by 2050.
