French electrical gear group Schneider Electrical has launched a brand new digital twin instrument for renewable power installations.

In keeping with Schneider, the brand new expertise integration helps grids to keep away from losing renewable electrical energy and has been prolonged from the design and engineering stage into the operation and upkeep (O&M) stage.

Referred to as EcoStruxure for Renewables, the answer is designed for builders of renewable initiatives – together with hybridisation of photo voltaic, wind and storage – and permits asset managers to leverage the identical information and digital twins to function their renewable installations.

It is usually appropriate for industrial companies trying to decarbonise their operations by integrating hybrid energy sources corresponding to on-site photo voltaic plus conventional gensets, Schneider stated.

“With the power disaster driving an accelerated power transition, grids of the longer term are evolving to raised accommodate extra renewable power. Meaning ensuring photo voltaic and wind farm operations can maintain feeding the grid with inexperienced electrical energy and guaranteeing that industries can feed their operations with sustainable power sources,” stated Frederic Godemel, government vp of energy techniques and companies at Schneider Electrical.
