Renu Vitality completed putting in the 64-panel photo voltaic array in Might to energy the UNC Asheville Reuter Middle, an academic facility on campus that’s residence of the Osher Lifelong Studying Institute. The set up is estimated to offer 37,000 kWh for the college’s grid infrastructure and can help UNC Asheville’s new campus requirements for power effectivity and sustainability.
“The Reuter Middle photo voltaic set up doubled UNC Asheville’s solar energy manufacturing and was our first renewable power mission since committing to carbon neutrality by 2050. Along with the local weather impacts, this mission will offset $920,000 in utility prices for the college over the lifetime of the system,” stated Jackie Hamstead, co-director of sustainability at UNC Asheville. “We’re most pleased with the best way this mission introduced collectively so many companions working in the direction of the shared purpose of a more healthy future.”
