Madison Gas and Electric (MGE), in partnership with We Energies and Wisconsin Public Service (WPS), has obtained approval from the Public Service Fee of Wisconsin to buy photo voltaic vitality and battery storage from the Darien Photo voltaic Vitality Middle.
MGE will personal 25 MW of photo voltaic vitality and seven.5 MW of battery storage from the 250 MW photo voltaic and 75 MW battery storage facility in Rock and Walworth Counties in southern Wisconsin.

Situated on 2,000 acres within the City of Bradford in Rock County and the City of Darien in Walworth County, the Darien Photo voltaic Vitality Middle will function as much as 850,000 photo voltaic panels. It would generate sufficient clear vitality to energy about 75,000 households. MGE’s share of the output will energy about 7,500 households.
We Energies and WPS will personal the remaining 225 MW of the photo voltaic output and 67.5 MW of battery storage from the undertaking. Invenergy LLC is the undertaking developer. The power is predicted to start serving clients by the top of 2024.
