First Solar Chooses Alabama Location to Build Fourth American PV Module Factory

First Solar Inc. has chosen Lawrence County in Alabama as the placement for its fourth American photovoltaic photo voltaic module manufacturing facility. The brand new manufacturing facility is a part of a beforehand introduced funding in scaling First Photo voltaic’s American manufacturing footprint to over 10 GW DC by 2025.

The deliberate manufacturing facility in Lawrence County’s Mallard Fox Industrial Park represents an funding of roughly $1.1 billion and is predicted to be commissioned by 2025, with a deliberate annual capability of three.5 GW DC.
