EDF Renewables North America has signed a 332MWdc 15-year digital energy buy settlement (VPPA) with McDonald’s within the US.
The facility shall be drawn from the Apollo Photo voltaic challenge, positioned in Texas, which is predicted to be commissioned in June 2024 and can generate as much as 619,000MWh of fresh power per 12 months as soon as accomplished.
Furthermore, the VPPA with EDF Renewables will convey McDonald’s nearer to its emissions discount goal for 2030 and marks its second such VPPA – final 12 months, it signed a 345MWdc VPPA with Lightsource BP.
