Subsidiaries of polysilicon producer Daqo New Power have signed a five-year polysilicon provide settlement with photo voltaic wafer producer Shuangliang Silicon Supplies.
The deal will see Xinjiang Daqo and Interior Mongolia Daqo present Shuangliang with 150,300MT of high-purity mono-grade polysilicon from November 2022 to December 2027. Costs can be negotiated by each events month-to-month based on market situations.
A subsidiary of Shuangliang Eco-Power, Shuangliang Silicon Supplies has fast capability growth plans, based on Longgen Zhang, CEO of Daqo New Power.
Zhang stated Daqo New Power expects that demand for high-purity mono-grade polysilicon will “stay sturdy, particularly because the market steadily switches to the subsequent era of n-type expertise”.
Following a better-than-expected efficiency through the first half of 2022, Daqo New Power elevated its annual polysilicon manufacturing steering to 129,000 – 132,000MT.
For Shuangliang Silicon Supplies, the deal comes after it just lately signed a take care of Tongwei to acquire 222,500MT of polysilicon over the subsequent 4 years.
World polysilicon capacities are on observe to soar to 536GW by the top of 2023, assuming all initiatives within the pipeline develop as deliberate, based on analysis printed final week by advisory agency Clear Power Associates.
