150 MW Lund Hill Solar Now Powering the Grid in Washington

AVANGRID says it has achieved business operation at its 150 MW Lund Hill photo voltaic farm in Klickitat County, Wash.

The brand new PV plant – the biggest in Washington – will provide Puget Sound Power’s Inexperienced Direct program, which provides giant business and governmental members the flexibility to buy 100% of their vitality from devoted, native renewable vitality assets.

“Lund Hill represents a significant milestone for us at AVANGRID and is proof of our dedication with accelerating the vitality transition within the U.S.,” says Pedro Azagra, AVANGRID’s CEO. “We’re happy to work with Puget Sound Power to assist it meet its formidable targets to cut back emissions and supply clear, dependable energy to its prospects.”

AVANGRID’s facility will provide the photo voltaic for PSE’s second-round providing of their Inexperienced Direct program, for which greater than 40 prospects have already signed up, amongst them six Washington state authorities companies, together with the Departments of Well being, Ecology, and Transportation, amongst others.

Lund Hill is positioned on roughly 1,800 acres, a mixture of land leased from non-public landowners and the Washington Division of Pure Sources – the state’s first solar energy land lease.
